The goal is not to memorize M&E terminology. The goal is to perform M&E work independently, explain your decisions and apply the same skills to a project you have never seen before.
The 27-competency pathway is designed around what you will be able to do. You begin guided virtual learning as soon as you register, then build on those skills during three practical days in Nairobi, 22–24 March 2027. Certification follows practical verification.

Proposed allocation: competencies 1–12 are guided online; competencies 13–27 are addressed during the physical practicum. Each competency must be demonstrated before certification.

Each competency has a practical task. Knowing the right definition is not enough. You must create, explain, improve and transfer the skill. Evidence is reviewed before the certificate is awarded.

You will receive more than 100 ready-to-use MEAL templates, tools, guides and practical examples. More importantly, you will develop a complete M&E plan for your own organisation or project during the programme — refining it through facilitator feedback so you have something useful to implement when you return to work.

Certification requires practical competency demonstrations, assessment and a completed M&E plan rather than attendance alone. Certificates include QR verification.
Yes. The pathway is designed around demonstrated competence in all 27 areas and completion of the final capstone, subject to the programme’s formal assessment decisions.
The first 12 are introduced through guided online work before the workshop. The remaining 15 form the focus of the three physical days in Nairobi. Some skills are integrated and revisited across phases.
Yes. Under the standard-fee pathway, the $80 initial payment counts toward $580 and leaves $500 payable. The $480 offer is for early full payment, not the instalment plan.
The programme is planned for Nairobi Safari Club, Nairobi, on 22–24 March 2027. Dates and venue are confirmed by the Vantage Africa team before a final booking commitment.
