By registering for any course, program, consultancy service, or using our website and learning platforms, you agree to these policies.

1. Terms and Conditions

1.1 About Vantage Africa School of Leadership

Vantage Africa School of Leadership is a Pan-African leadership development institution delivering leadership training, monitoring and evaluation training, project management, data analytics programs, executive education, corporate capacity building, and digital learning solutions.

The institution serves professionals across Africa including governments, NGOs, development partners, and private sector organizations.

1.2 Acceptance of Terms

By:

  • Registering for a course
  • Attending any training or workshop
  • Accessing learning materials
  • Using the VASOL website or learning portal
  • Engaging VASOL for consulting services

You acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and Conditions.

VASOL reserves the right to update these terms periodically.

1.3 Programs and Training Delivery

VASOL programs may be delivered through:

  • Virtual training platforms
  • Hybrid learning models
  • Self-paced digital courses
  • In-person workshops
  • Corporate in-house training
  • International leadership programs

VASOL reserves the right to adjust delivery formats, instructors, schedules, or program structures where necessary.

1.4 Accreditation and Certification

Certain courses offered by VASOL may be accredited or aligned with recognized institutions including:

  • TVETA
  • NITA
  • IHRM

Participants who successfully complete course requirements may receive:

  • Certificates of Completion
  • Professional Development Certificates
  • Accredited Training Certificates (where applicable)

Certification is subject to completion of course requirements, attendance requirements, assessments where applicable, and full payment of program fees.

VASOL reserves the right to withhold certification where requirements are not met.

1.5 Participant Responsibilities

Participants must:

  • Provide accurate registration information
  • Attend sessions as scheduled
  • Maintain professional conduct during sessions
  • Respect instructors and other participants
  • Use learning materials only for personal or institutional development

Participants must not:

  • Record sessions without permission
  • Share proprietary training materials
  • Resell course content
  • Use course materials for unauthorized commercial purposes

1.6 Platform Access

Access to digital learning platforms, recordings, and course materials may be time-limited and may expire after the training period unless otherwise specified.

VASOL reserves the right to suspend or terminate platform access where participants violate institutional policies or fail to meet payment obligations.

1.7 Payment Obligations

Participants must ensure timely settlement of all applicable training fees.

VASOL reserves the right to suspend access to training platforms, learning materials, sessions, or certification where payment obligations are not fulfilled.

1.8 Force Majeure

VASOL shall not be liable for delays or inability to deliver programs due to circumstances beyond its reasonable control including:

  • Natural disasters
  • Internet outages
  • Government restrictions
  • Public health emergencies
  • Civil unrest
  • Technical disruptions

1.9 Limitation of Liability

VASOL shall not be liable for:

  • Indirect or consequential damages
  • Career outcomes resulting from training participation
  • Loss of income or business opportunities
  • Technical interruptions beyond our control

Under no circumstances shall VASOL's liability exceed the total amount paid for the specific program or service.

1.10 Termination

VASOL reserves the right to remove participants from programs where they:

  • Violate institutional policies
  • Engage in disruptive conduct
  • Misuse training materials
  • Fail to comply with payment obligations

No refund will be issued in such cases.

4. Course Attendance & Certification Policy

Participants must attend at least 75% of scheduled sessions for short courses and 80-90% for accredited programs.

Certification eligibility requires:

  • Minimum attendance requirements
  • Completion of coursework or assessments
  • Compliance with institutional policies
  • Full settlement of course fees

Certificates are issued within 5-15 working days after program completion.

5. Code of Conduct

Participants must maintain professional behavior during training programs.

Prohibited conduct includes:

  • Harassment or discrimination
  • Disrupting training sessions
  • Sharing offensive materials
  • Unauthorized recording of sessions

VASOL reserves the right to issue warnings, remove participants, or withhold certification where policies are violated.

6. Intellectual Property Policy

All training materials remain the intellectual property of VASOL, including:

  • Presentations
  • Course manuals
  • Templates and toolkits
  • Recorded sessions
  • Assessment materials
  • Digital learning resources

Participants may only use materials for personal learning or internal professional development.

Unauthorized redistribution, resale, or commercial use is prohibited.

7. Corporate Training Policy

VASOL provides tailored training and consulting services to organizations including governments, NGOs, and private sector institutions.

Corporate engagements may include:

  • Leadership development programs
  • Monitoring and Evaluation training
  • Project management programs
  • Data analytics and digital transformation training

Formal agreements may specify:

  • Training scope
  • Duration
  • Deliverables
  • Participant numbers
  • Payment terms

Failure to meet payment obligations may result in suspension of services.

8. Certificate Verification Policy

VASOL maintains records of all certificates issued.

Verification requests must include:

  • Participant name
  • Program title
  • Completion date
  • Certificate number (if available)

9. Recording & AI Learning Policy

Training sessions may be recorded for:

  • Educational review
  • Quality assurance
  • Future learning resources

VASOL may also use digital technologies and AI tools to support:

Participants will be informed where recording takes place.

10. Policy Updates

VASOL reserves the right to update institutional policies periodically to reflect:

11. Governing Law

These policies shall be governed and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Kenya.

12. Dispute Resolution

Any dispute arising from these policies shall first be addressed through good faith negotiations.

If disputes cannot be resolved through negotiation, they may be referred to mediation or arbitration within Kenya before pursuing legal proceedings.

2. Refund Policy

2.1 General Policy

Training fees are generally non-refundable once a program has started.

Exceptions may be considered under the circumstances outlined below.

2.2 Participant Withdrawal Before Program Start

Participants who withdraw:

  • 7+ days before program start: Eligible for 80% refund
  • 3-6 days before start: Eligible for 50% refund
  • Less than 72 hours before start: No refund

Participants may request transfer to a future cohort where available.

Course registrations are generally non-transferable unless approved by VASOL.

2.3 Program Cancellation by VASOL

If a program is cancelled by VASOL due to:

  • Low enrollment
  • Instructor unavailability
  • Technical issues
  • Force majeure

Participants will receive either:

  • A full refund, or
  • Transfer to the next available cohort.

2.4 Missed Sessions

VASOL is not responsible for missed sessions due to:

  • Work commitments
  • Personal circumstances
  • Internet disruptions
  • Time zone differences

Participants may access recordings where available.

2.5 Institutional Training

For corporate or institutional programs, refund terms follow the contract or service agreement.

Deposits may be non-refundable depending on preparation costs.

2.6 Refund Processing

Approved refunds are processed within 14 business days via the original payment method.

VASOL is not responsible for bank or payment processing delays.
