WHY THIS PROGRAMME?

At the end of the training, we don’t ask: “Which change model do you now know?”
We ask: “What will be different when you get back?”

Most change effort fails for reasons nobody named at the start. This programme teaches you to find the real problem, design the change that answers it, and carry people through it — not to recite the models.

◎

Diagnose before you prescribe

Tell symptoms from causes, and find the structural and cultural reasons a problem keeps coming back.

✧

Take people with you

Work with resistance instead of around it, and leave with a change plan your leadership can act on.

THE VANTAGE DIFFERENCE

We change how the work gets done — not how it looks on paper.

Most change announcements move boxes on a chart and leave the actual work untouched. This programme trains you to find what is really producing the problem, and to go after that instead.

✕WHAT WE AVOID

  • Change taught as a lecture on eight-step models
  • Restructures announced and then left to settle themselves
  • Diagnoses written by people who were never in the building

✓WHAT WE DO

  • A real diagnosis of your own organisation
  • A change plan with sequencing, owners and quick wins
  • Findings you have to put in front of people who disagree
THE 16-TOPIC JOURNEY

16 practical topics. One organisation you can actually change.

The pathway is designed around what you will be able to do. You begin guided virtual learning as soon as you register, then build on it during three practical days in Nairobi, 8–10 February 2027.

7 Topics

VIRTUAL · START IMMEDIATELY

Diagnosis and analysis, worked through online ahead of the workshop.

9 Topics

PHYSICAL · 8–10 FEBRUARY 2027

Three focused days designing, leading and embedding change in Nairobi.

01 Register & start learning 02 7 virtual topics 03 9 physical topics · 8–10 Feb 04 Build & defend your plan

Proposed allocation: topics 1–7 are guided online and cover diagnosis; topics 8–16 are worked through during the three physical days and cover designing, leading and embedding the change.

YOUR PRACTICAL OUTCOMES

By the end of the training, this is what you will be able to do.

Explore each topic below. The real test is whether it survives contact with the organisation you actually work in.

A CERTIFICATE HAS TO MEAN SOMETHING

How do we know the change will survive you?

A change plan is easy to write and hard to survive. What gets checked is whether your diagnosis holds, whether the design follows from it, and whether you have thought about the morning after the launch.

Join the 16-topic pathway →
1
Start from something that is actually going wrong

A real situation where you work, not a case from a book.

2
Name the causes

Produce a diagnosis that names causes rather than collecting complaints.

3
Design the intervention

Scope it, sequence it, and say who owns which part of it.

4
Take it to people who will push back

Facilitators and peers ask the awkward questions your colleagues are too polite to.

5
Show how it sticks

How the change gets reinforced, measured, and written into normal practice.

WHAT YOU TAKE BACK TO WORK

Take a diagnosis and a change plan back to your organisation.

The templates and tools come with the programme. The thing worth carrying home is the diagnosis and change plan you built for your own organisation and had picked apart by facilitators and peers before you ever put it in front of your leadership.

Systems map and organisational diagnosis
Diagnostic interview and survey instruments
Findings and feedback pack for leadership
Stakeholder map and engagement plan
Change roadmap with sequencing, owners and quick wins
Communication plan and resistance log
Your organisation’s own change plan — built and reviewed during training

HOW THE PROGRAMME WORKS
✦ YOUR ORGANISATION IS THE CASE STUDY

You don’t practise on someone else’s organisation.

From the first virtual session you work on a real situation in your own workplace. You diagnose it, design the change that answers it, and take the plan through facilitator and peer review during the three days in Nairobi. You leave with work about your organisation, not notes about someone else’s.

What you work on

One real problem, start to finish.

Choose a change your organisation actually needs. Diagnose it, design it, test it against peers who will ask hard questions, and leave with a plan you can take to your leadership.

Bring enough knowledge of the situation to describe it. No confidential documents are required.

COMMON QUESTIONS

Everything clear before you decide.

What makes this different from other change management courses?

The programme is built around practical work rather than attendance. You diagnose your own organisation, design a change that answers what you found, and leave with a plan you have had to explain and defend.

Do I have to work through all 16 topics?

Yes. The pathway covers all 16 topics, 7 guided online and 9 in the room, subject to the programme’s formal assessment decisions.

How are the online and physical topics taught?

The first 7 are introduced through guided online work before the workshop and cover diagnosis. The remaining 9 form the focus of the three physical days in Nairobi and cover designing, leading and embedding change.

Does the $80 count toward the total fee?

Yes. Under the standard-fee pathway, the $80 initial payment counts toward $580 and leaves $500 payable. The $480 offer is for early full payment, not the instalment plan.

When and where exactly is the physical training?

The programme is planned for Nairobi, Kenya on 8–10 February 2027. The exact venue will be confirmed by the Vantage Africa team before a final booking commitment.

Do I need to be an HR or OD specialist?

No. The programme suits managers and leaders responsible for making a change work, as well as HR, OD and programme staff who support it.

Can my organisation sponsor me or request a group course?

Yes. Contact Vantage Africa for an invitation letter, invoice or a tailored in-house proposal.
