About IMPACT
The Indigenous Movement for Peace Advancement and Conflict Transformation — IMPACT — works in the Northern Frontiers of Kenya, home to a considerable proportion of Kenyan Indigenous Peoples. Their current projects are spread across the counties of Laikipia, Isiolo, Marsabit, Samburu and some parts of Turkana County.
Program Offered
IMPACT wanted to have a number of their staff trained on Resource Mobilization and Proposal Development. But since they could not afford to have the team leave their posts for extended periods of time to attend the training, they chose to join our evening classes, together with teams from other organizations.
This team would be at work the whole, then get home in the evening, freshen up, and when relaxed, they would join our online classes from 8pm to 9.30pm EAT. This went on for a total of 4 weeks, which is the duration of the course. This team found this arrangement exceptionally convenient, since there was no inconvenience at work because of the training.
On top of this, the organization was given 15% discount for bringing on board their staff for the training.
Outcome
Today, IMPACT has more staff members with capability to develop exceptional fundraising proposals, thus increasing their impact and sustainability.
